Barrit made the last pass to Shields try in the Kings match.
Bauedne Barrit from the Hurricanes made the last pass to Brad Shields try in the weekends match against the Kings in Wellington. The incident happend in the last 20 minutes of the game with the Hurricanes on attack just outside the Kings 22.
According to me that was good quick hands from Barrit and without, the try probably would not have been scored. It was the last pass to the scorer and if not awarded I would like to know why not, and if you can define setup try a bit better. If you look below to the definition regarding the rules .
One player 'gifts' a try to another player. Examples are:
• Player A beats a defender then passes off to player B for a clear run to the line.
• Player A kicks a grubber into the in-goal area for player B to touch down.
• Player A makes a huge skip pass to player B for a clear run to the line.
Cant this try go through underneath example 1. You can assume that because of the quick hands he beat the defender that lead to the try. This is the one point scoring option in testrugby that might be sometimes a bit off.
If you can just have a look at this. Thanks.
