Springboks in South Africa have a point to prove.
Now the tables are turned - it's the Wallabies who have a long flight and a hard game in a foreign land. And there's one thing certain, the Springboks are pissed! The crew who didn't go on tour recently want revenge and will be welcoming a chance to make things right.
The last two games bear no reflection on the coming game. An injection of top players back in the ranks, plus collective hurt from a couple of hidings, plus home ground advantage will fire this side up, setting the Springboks as the team to beat.
As predicted, last week the All Blacks exposed serious weaknesses in the Wallabies game. Constant pressure and a complete defensive pattern stymied the 'twinkle' effect that the Aussies bring to the current game. Check out some pics
Can South Africa do the same? The answer is yes. They won't do as good a job as the AB's did, instead adding their own crunching flavour to the mix. We'll still surely see some exciting fireworks from the classy Oz backline, but come the final whistle it'll be the Springboks in front by a nose.
