There are several injuries in Super Rugby Round 7 and some players being rested.
It didn't take long for the Super Rugby 2015 problems to strike for people playing fantasy rugby on websites like www.testrugby.com . There are plenty of injuries already for fantasy managers to deal with, but now we have the rotation of players. There are plenty of frontline international players who have been fantasy rugby studs in Super Rugby 2015, but unfortunately even if you have the best intentions, it is impossible to prepare for such drastic changes. This is difficult for managers in fantasy rugby competitions with limited trades. It seems that the national bodies want their players rested before the Rugby World Cup.
Some good fantasy rugby players who are not starting this weekend are
Sharks : Marcell Coetzee, Bismarck Du Plessis (suspended) and Pat Lambie
Highlanders: John Hardie, Shane Christie.
Cheetahs ; Willie Le Roux, Teboho 'Oupa' Mohoje
Chiefs : James Lowe, Hika Elliot.
Hurricanes : Beauden Barrett, Julian Savea, Ardie Savea and Dane Coles.
Stormers : Duane Vermeulen.
Bulls: Lappies Labuschagne
Other dilemmas
The problem is that some of the best players to replace these guys are in teams who have the bye either this week or next week like the Brumbies, Waratahs, Highlanders, Force. Is it worth buying a Bernard Foley, Michael Hooper, Israel Folau or Kurtley Beale for one week given the limited trades?
Who are some options to complete your teams?
It is important to look relatively long term to ensure that your newly selected player will be a good return on investment. Ideally you want to get at least three games out of each player.
Crusaders : Kieran Read, Dan Carter, Nemani Nadolo and Sam Whitelock.
Rebels : Sean McMahon (bargain), Pat Leafa (bargain).
Bulls : Jesse Kriel (bargain) , Handre Pollard.
Highlanders : Waisake Naholo, Elliot Dixon (both bargains).
Chiefs : look set to dominate the Cheetahs, Aaron Cruden, Sam Cane, Damian McKenzie (bargain), Bryce Heem (bargain).
Reds : James O'Connor, Quade Cooper.
Hurricanes : Victor Vito, Jason Woodward.
Stormers: Damian de Allende, Scarra Ntubeni.
Force: Steve Mafi
