Hire Experts For Concrete Cutting Making The Best
Concrete Driveways Adelaide is often recommended because of their low servicing. While road needs maintenance over several decades, concrete, once set up and enclosed, needs very little care. However, the concrete costs more than the road to set up, so you do pay a price for the time you will save.

Profit levels turning into a joke 5 views 13 Comments

anyone with 3.5mil profit can buy the most expensive team available for any given round

With this years extended format and in particular all the team byes, the capacity to gain profit has grown immensely. We are sitting in a position where at round 16, anyone with 3.5mil profit can buy the most expensive team available for any given round.
My guess is that 90 % of the top 2000 players have over this ammount of profit with many over 6 mil and quite a few over 8.
The ease in getting to this 3.5 mil milestone has taken a big skill facet from the game in that the need for creativity comes from who will play the best game as opposed to creating a team to fit a budget.
Although i have no idea how it all works, my suggestion for next year is that the profit / loss formula is scaled down by 25 % to make provision for the increased games and byes.

Other than that, why dont you open up the possibility of people to pay for insurance from the rounds before it was available. Im sure you could generate some cash and it might spruce up a few leagues that were looking dead and buried.

Thanks for the great game, keep it up.

I like jakattak's suggestion. your have to gamble by trading early to make a profit, but you do so knowing you can buy better players later on. this comes with the risk that your player is benched or injured and you have to make another trade. by 'buying' more trades from unused profit will definitely add another dimension.

I would also like to see profit and the final team carried over to the next season. so this becomes about managing a team as a business, and thinking about next year too so profit becomes a VERY important factor when it rolls over... Imagine the Rebels position - they don't have the funds nor players that more established franchises have, so need to look to build that over the coming years. Likewise, would like to see this be the case in fantasy rugby. Think of it as becoming a 16th virtual franchise.

I agree. The earlier weeks of the competition were much more interesting as it tested fantasy players' knowledge to a far higher degree as relatively unknown players had to be included in one's side as a result of not having loads of cash. The model for the official English Premiership (football) is much better as players gain and lose value based on how well they have been playing and not on how many fantasy players have them in their squads. Their values also don't change hugely so the room for profit gains is much less. Sure it's a fair point that people should be rewarded for buying low and selling high but the point of this game is rugby and not stock trading.

I think it is worked out brilliantly! Check all the guys with big profit is guys with low trades? So might have allot of dow but no way of using it! And everybody knows how important trades are in the knockout times! So I think they did a great job in working the whole thing out!

In the beginning all skill goes towards making enough cash as soon as possible to be able to buy whoever you want, the only problem is it costs you trades, so now it is less about the amount of cash you've got but rather the amount of trades you saved up.
You can have over $8 mil in the final weeks, but if you've used up all your trades then it's not really going to help you replace all the players that fell out during the semi.

I reckon all this profit we're making we should be able to use to buy trades. More 'stock trading' skill gives you more trades, more trades give you more options, more options more fun! And it cant be said that its unfair because you've earned your money and subsequent trades fairly. It would just add another dimension to the game.. And you wouldn't have to use real money in a fantasy game that has nonexistent prizes...

Buy low sell high, make profit, it's quite a simple formula really... Why change it.

6 . The Shizzles 03 Jun 2011 08:24 AM
Just because a player is the most expensive doesn't mean he's the best choice for that given week based on the matchups. So even though most owners can now afford any combination of players they like, it is challenging to try and decide who is going to be surprise performer, especially if you're not leading your division and need to catch up on the standings. Now is the tough part of the season as far as i'm concerned.

Agreed... I invested heavily in earning profit this year(as i did in the past) to reap benefits later... however everyone can just buy the best teams now with ease... its rediculous... Also stock market seems very static this year? is there a coding problem? or has everyone just given up on testrugby altogether? force1 ur suggestion is rediculous...

Agree. Stock market skill should be more important. At the moment that skill is only really tested in the first few weeks.
