I don't think I am confused. At the moment, in this reply it tells me 500 words or less. It says nothing about characters. I define 'characters' as a single letter yet a word is a combination of characters or a single letter such as 'I' or 'A' (i.e. I have a hat)

My only immediate though is that it could do with your version of IE. However, I highly doubt this.

Next time, lets get the facts right before you throw around 'confused' accusations.

I agree, FR are doing a great job and there is nothing better in our competition to have a winner on Monday, he brags about his win and then on Wednesday, when more points are allocated, we have different winner.. Keeps people on their toes.
As for changes with the system, I concur. 1000 words is a huge amount to begin a rant and people may have nothing or litttle to say except space their way to that amount of characters.

Interesting to see though is that I only need 500 words or less to fill this comment which I think think is applaudable. I have 400 words left now...actually now I have 390. Is 'I' a word?...it seems as though it is. every space bar tap also seems to be a word.

However, when you press return, this doesn't count as a word.
