Scotty Donaldson looks at the Springboks team to face England. After Scotland's win over Australia it seems that experience will be crucial early on in these test matches this weekend. How do you think the Springboks will go?
The Springbok rugby team has been named to play England in the first test. It will be interesting to see how this team goes with such little preparation compared with the England team who have had far more time together. Australia showed they were underdone last night against Scotland and I wonder if South Africa will struggle against England? This lack of preparation is a great leveller. There are only three new caps and they are in the forward pack of this Springboks side and I think the All Blacks will be wise to play as many experienced players against Ireland as possible. I think this is a strong Springboks side, but it will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to gel against England. I think South Africa will win, but they may have to come from behind in the second half.
There are some great players on the bench for the Springboks too, although Ruan Pienaar is an interesting call. There are plenty of Sharks in this team which is interesting given that they are the third place South African team. What do you think of this team?
Heyneke Meyer has named his first side as Springbok coach, including 21-year old debutant Marcell Coetzee at openside flanker. Jean de Villiers will captain the side in the 1st Test against England in Durban on Saturday, with two other debutants in the side in Eben Etzebeth and former Northampton Saints lock Juandre Kruger.
