The South African teams dominated Super Rugby Round 4. What did you think of Round 4?
The South African teams dominated Super Rugby Round 4 with their
physical style of playing proving too much for their New Zealand
opponents.
Four out of seven Super Rugby Round 4 matches ended with upsets on
tipping website SuperBru. The Cheetahs win over the Highlanders was the
biggest upset with only 10 percent of punters picking them.
It shows that the New Zealand conference may not be as strong as
expected and I believe that the New Zealand teams have played each other
too much which has found them wanting upfront where the physical nature
of the big Bulls and Cheetahs sides impressed.
Ironically, Kade Poki is in the form of his life!
In summary
The Highlanders lack cohesion, have too many oldies in their team and too many injuries. They are in for a long season.
The Crusaders are a shadow of their former selves.
The Blues shouldn't have made so many changes this week.
The Chiefs still look impressive despite losing to the Stormers.
The Hurricanes have enough X Factor to always threaten.
The Brumbies are easily the best Australian team.
The Reds are clearly the second Australian team.
The Waratahs are disappointing.
The Rebels will continue to struggle because of their lack of depth.
The Kings are better than we thought they would be.
The Sharks keep winning without scoring tries.
The Stormers and Bulls showed that contrary to popular belief they can score tries.
The Cheetahs are always dangerous.
The New Zealand teams need to adjust to the physical South African sides.
