There have been two upsets in Round 12 Super Rugby as the Hurricanes and Rebels scored victories over the Highlanders and Crusaders respectively. As a Highlanders supporter I feel brassed off that not only did Phil Burleigh get a try disallowed in the corner where he took out the corner flag (great tackle by Andre Taylor by the way), but the Hurricanes scored a try to Levave almost straight after when Jason Eaton was tackled with his foot into touch. The Highlanders dominated proceedings for the first sixty minutes and should have won this game, but those two calls turned the game on its head and then Julian Savea scored a great try towards the end to give the Hurricanes the 26-20 win.

The Highlanders dominated, but the dangerous Hurricanes survived off scraps and eventually won thanks to two favourable calls and the hosts running out of steam and dropping the bundle at crucial times at the end. The Highlanders dominated territory and possession but just couldn't put the Hurricanes away. Barrett did kick well

The Crusaders couldn't take advantage of the Highlanders loss and were defeated 28-19 by the Rebels. The Rebels were great at home and the Crusaders struggled to lift their game after their disappointing performance last week. The Rebels look great with Kurtley Beale at first five, while Nick Phipps at halfback grabbed a double and the veteran Stirling Mortlock scored the winning try.

These results have made it a nightmare round for Super Rugby punters. The Rebels victory over the Crusaders was the biggest upset of the season.
