There are very few goalkicking halves available for managers with top scorers like Carter and Lambie injured and the Rebels, Blues and Chiefs teams having the bye. Who should managers choose?
Injuries have ruled out two of the highest points scoring halves in www.testrugby.com so far with Patrick Lambie and Daniel Carter both injured and three teams having the bye, it is difficult to have any starting halves who are good points scoring goalkickers. The top point scorers are Quade Cooper and Peter Grant, but outside of them, only Morne Steyn starts as a goalkicking half, but he lacks the running game. The problem is that Cooper is inconsistent and is playing against a team with brilliant defence, so he may not score many points. Genia, Pretorius and Du Preez are halfbacks, while Jantjes seems to be on the outer for the Lions.
I have sold Carter and will go for Quade Cooper to join Peter Grant.
