I watched the fight in its entirety. I'm not a huge fight fan but wanted to see how SBW would fare against a proper (if declining) boxer. I was very keen to see if he could last 12 rnds this early in his boxing carreer. He couldn't. He was visibly tiring during the 9th round and inexplicably during the break between Rnds 9 and 10 it was announced that the next round would be the last. Botha had plenty left in the tank, SBW clung onto him incessantly in the 10th and only just managed to avoid getting knocked out, but he would not have been able to make his own way back to his corner without help at the end of the round. And he most certainly would not have lasted 2 more rounds. No doubt he was clearly ahead on points after 10 Rnds due to good scoring jabs throughout the fight. Shortening the fight with no explanation stunk to high heaven, but that's boxing, most of its publicity always seems to come after the bout (via controversy) to drum up interest in the next fight or a rematch. In summary it was 9 rnds of boredom followed by 1 round of confusion and a bit of post match uproar.
