30 players on the pitch, the whole match
I would like to start a campaign to get the IRB to change the rules in order that "there shall "ALWAYS be 30 players on the field" (as in League, well a full side anyway).
Punishment could be done AFTER the match with the aid of a panel of experts and the use of CCTV, punishment could be varied in many ways ie suspension, monetary, attending anger management classes etc etc.
Yellow cards - Do usually calm players down - and a accumulation of yellow cards should bring about an automatic suspension (like football)
Red cards - It has become more than obvious that rugby and referees need technical help in order to make instantaneous fair and correct decisions, and by leaving it to an after match citing committee would do this, and I as a paying spectator am not deprived of what I paid for.
Sending off a player is no real punishment to him (or her)!! - but a 5,10,15,20 week suspension is and I as a paying spectator get what I paid for, knowing he is out of the match and not sent off in flash by the ref.
If you agree please simply reply "I agree" if you don't please say why.Thank you.
