The Super 15 Rugby 2013 competition has finished for most teams and since all teams have played the same number of games we have the opportunity to name a Super 15 Rugby Team of the Competition based on www.testrugby.com statistics. We also name the statistical leaders in the different categories. It is interesting to see which players make it onto the lists in more than one category.
Israel Folau in his debut season had the highest average points in www.testrugby.com out of those players in the top 20 in their position. The only other players to average over 300 points per game and make our Super Rugby 2013 team of the competition were Gareth Anscombe and James O'Connor who are both goal kickers, but are ironically listed in www.testrugby.com in a position where they didn't spend much of their season.
We have named the Super Rugby 2013 Team of the Competition below. There were some unlucky players to narrowly miss the team which is based on average points per game and being in the top 20 players in your category of position by overall points.
Adriaan Strauss, Steven Luatua, Kieran Read, Daniel Carter, Beauden Barrett, Morne Steyn, Alapati Leuia and Hosea Gear narrowly missed selection.
The highest scoring positions based on what it took to make the Super Rugby 2013 team were outside back and halves, while the halfback and props had the lowest average points. There were other hookers and first five eighths who didn't make this team.

Israel Folau averaged 316 points per game which was helped by his eight tries in total. He averaged 5 go forwards with the ball in hand, 3 catch kicks and 2 tackles per game.
While the Team of the Super Rugby 2013 Competition is purely based on www.testrugby.com statistics it would be interesting to see how many players would make an actual Super Rugby 2013 Round Robin team.
