We do the maths and select the Super Rugby team of 2011 so far. It is very Crusaders dominated in the backs.
We head into Super Rugby 2011 Round Five and it is interesting to see who the best performers are. The tool we have used to calculate the best players are the www.testrugby.com points. We have selected the 12 players with the highest average points for each position. This is a guide only, but should be very helpful for managers.
The New Zealand sides dominate the backs with the Crusaders providing Dan Carter, Sonny Bill Williams, Robbie Fruean and Sean Maitland. Patrick Lambie has practically doubled in value from the start of the season. Josh Strauss is the cheapest in the team, while there are three others under the magic million. It would be difficult to afford this team and remain under the salary cap.
