Super Rugby Round 2 - Player Analysis 9 views

Super Rugby Round 2 Team of the Round features plenty of surprises. Who was the best player of Super Rugby Round 2?
Super Rugby Round 2 not only threw up some surprise results, but there were also some surprise selections in the Super Rugby Team of Round 2 based on statistics from fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com.
Israel Folau was named the Player of Super Rugby Round 2 scoring 520 points from three tries, two line breaks, four go forwards and seven caught kicks among other things.
Interestingly, Israel Folau is owned by 30 percent of managers, while the other top five performing players of Super Rugby Round 2 including Blues pair of Luke Braid and Peter Saili, Stormers hooker Siyabonga (Scarra) Ntubeni and Lions sharpshooter Marnitz Boshoff are all owned by less than ten percent of managers. Cheetahs fullback Willie Le Roux is owned by 43 percent of managers and Sharks hooker Bismarck Du Plessis has 37 percent ownership, although the Sharks have the bye in Super Rugby Round 3. Because player values rise or fall depending on ownership, there is definitely the potential to get behind a quality player early, before they become too expensive.
The Super Rugby XV Team of Round 2 features some genuine bargains like Siyabonga (Scarra) Ntubeni, Peter Saili, Jaco Kriel, Marnitz Boshoff, Malakai Fekitoa and Alofa Alofa. The true test will be if these players can continue to perform consistently or if they are just a flash in the pan!
http://www.superrugbytips.com/2014/02/super-15-rugby-xv-team-of-round-2.html
The Super Rugby XV Team of Round 2 includes three Blues and Waratahs, two Stormers, Crusaders, Highlanders and Lions and one Shark. This means that there are seven New Zealand, five South African and three Australian players.
We have also provided a Super Rugby Team of the competition so far so you can see which players are consistent performers.
Because www.testrugby.com is based on 12 man teams we have also provided Super Rugby Round 2 Team of the Round.
This team is dominated by New Zealand players with eight players including four Blues. There are plenty of bargain priced players in this competition who performed well in Super Rugby Round 2.
It is also worth noting which team a player was playing against. For example, the Waratahs played one of the less fancied teams in the Force and so their outside backs scored plenty of points.
The Sharks have a bye in Super Rugby Round 3 and so it is worth selling players like Bismarck Du Plessis and Patrick Lambie early.
It is also worth considering players who are out of position or goal kickers outside of the normal positions like Jesse Mogg or Christian Lealifano when he returns from injury.
Do you agree with the Super Rugby XV Team of Round 2? Who would you put in this team?
