Thoughts on the Team of the Round?
Super Rugby Round 6 saw some interesting results with the Crusaders, Waratahs and Sharks looking like they are returning to their winning ways from previous seasons. We thought it was about time to make a Super 15 Rugby Round 6 Team of the Round Form XV using statistics from fantasy rugby website www.testrugby.com .
The Player of the Round was Waratahs fullback Israel Folau who helped to inspire his team to a comfortable win over the Brumbies. Folau scored 520 points in www.testrugby.com . His statistics according to www.testrugby.com definitions included one try, two assists, four linebreaks, six go-forwards, one tackle, one lineout and two catches. It is interesting because in most fantasy games Dan Carter is a first five eighth or inside back, but he started in the midfield against the Cheetahs, while Mike Harris was the opposite. Harris just ousted rivals like Patrick Lambie, Handre Pollard, Bernard Foley and Lima Sopoaga.
There was a dead-heat between Brad Shields and Jordan Taufua. Surprisingly the props are Reggie Goodes and Josh Hohneck. The Highlanders and Hurricanes aren't known for great props these days. Hohneck didn't even score a try to boost his score unlike Goodes and Waratahs hooker Tolu Latu.
The Lions pair of Warren Whiteley and Derrick Minnie were instrumental in their team beating the Rebels.
