KFC and Jockey have been named as sponsors for Super Rugby and the All Blacks respectively. Are these sponsors a good fit?
There have been two recent sponsorship signings for New Zealand's top rugby players. What do you make of Jockey sponsoring the All Blacks and KFC sponsoring New Zealand Super Rugby teams? There are rumours that KFC sponsoring the New Zealand Super Rugby teams would be too tempting for most red blooded male rugby players and I hope the same thing doesn't happen as happened when KFC sponsored the Warriors Rugby League team. Are Jockey and KFC great sponsors or are these two poorly suited sponsors when you want to match your brand with the sponsors product.
Underwear brand Jockey has signed a three-year deal with the All Blacks in a move that will definitely impress most female rugby fans.
I don't have a problem with Jockey as sponsors, but I have question marks over KFC.
