See who made the Rugby Championship Team of Round 2.
The Rugby Championship Round 2 featured two closer games than Round 1, but the same two teams won. Israel Folau scored the most www.testrugby.com points thanks to a tidy game including one intercept try to be the Player of the Round!
The Rugby Championship Round 2 is also interesting because four Argentinians made the team, while only one All Blacks backs made the team which is low!
Duane Vermuelen and Puma Juan Manuel Leguizamon scored heavily as loose forwards being the next highest scorers after Folau.
Ben Smith scored two tries but only got 345 points for the Round. It is also interesting to see only three players worth under $1 million make the cut.
There is now a challenge for all managers with the news that Tom Taylor is out of action for three weeks. Managers who selected Taylor got good value for money as he only cost about $500,000 and got 200 points for the round, but he was so cheap that managers will have to use up two trades in order to fit under the salary cap. Getting rid of Taylor for a more expensive player will mean downgrading in another position. Owen Franks showed that you don't necessarily need to be a hooker to get good points. The All Blacks locks were also great scoring players which went against their form from Round 1.
