Should the All Blacks bring back Stephen Donald into their squad like the Rugby World Cup? Maybe Piri Weepu while they are at it?
The All Blacks have a Number 10 problem with Dan Carter, Aaron Cruden and Beauden Barrett all injured. This reminds me of the Rugby World Cup 2011 which saw the injury curse strike the All Blacks. The selectors have called up Colin Slade and Tom Taylor as cover, but it would be difficult for them coming into the All Blacks given their limited experience at test match level.
Why don't the selectors do what they did in the Rugby World Cup 2011 and Bring Back Stephen Donald? I also think that Piri Weepu would provide an experienced option off the bench if required for the squad.
I did buy a Standing For Slade t-shirt for the Rugby World Cup campaign, but by the time it arrived in the post, he was injured too.
Stephen Donald has now left English rugby's Bath club and will play rugby in Japan for Mitsubishi Dynaboars.
Should the All Blacks selectors - Bring Back Stephen Donald? Leave it to Beaver?
Is the All Blacks Number 10 jersey a poisoned chalice? Why are they dropping like flies?
The All Blacks selectors have also brought in two young loose forward replacements in Luke Whitelock and Brad Shields while they are exploring other options at hooker.
I am just kidding with this post, but it is an interesting dilemma. We need to look to the future. Donald's fairytale ended happily so there is no point ruining his dream.
