The Super 15 Round 17 Team of the Round features a mixture of players from across the teams in the 2012 Super Rugby competition. Despite suggesting that www.testrugby.com managers select players from teams who will make the Top Six, it ends up that only four players who made the Super 15 Rugby 17 Team of the Round are in teams in contention for the finals. The Lions Derick Minnie came from nowhere to be the player of the week, while eight players from losing teams made this team. I find it amazing that Adam Wallace-Harrison has been scoring so well from lock.
Australian players dominated the Team of Round 17, even though only the Brumbies and Reds won from Australia. Who would have thought the Lions were the main source of South African players?
