Super Rugby bargains for managers.
Super Rugby Semi Finals are here, and if you need those stocking filler players to complete your squad, then look further than these 10 Fantasy Rugby Bargains! These players are all worth under $1 million in fantasy rugby game www.testrugby.com .
1) Nehe Milner-Skudder (Hurricanes) - Playing on the wing instead of fullback, but don't let that full you. Milner-Skudder loves scoring tries by beating defenders with his hot stepping which has seen him named in the All Blacks squad. He has been compared to Christian Cullen. With the Hurricanes expected to win, then he is a great option.
2) Ardie Savea (Hurricanes) - will be gutted to have missed out on the first All Blacks squad of the year, but Savea has pace for such a robust loose forward. He also has an eye for the try line and won't sting you in the pocket.
3) James Marshall (Hurricanes) - Marshall is a bargain, especially if he is kicking goals for the Hurricanes. He will also get more opportunities to get points from catching the ball from kicks and space to cause some damage by beating defenders.
4) James Lentjes (Highlanders) has been named to start at openside flanker vs the Waratahs in a Super Rugby semi-final. This is big considering Lentjes had never played Super Rugby until this season and hasn't played for the Highlanders in a few months.
5) Elliot Dixon (Highlanders) - Listed a speck under $1 million Elliot Dixon has been thriving with getting plenty of minutes at the Highlanders. He is versatile with his ability to play several positions and has made plenty of try saving tackles for his team.
6) Waisake Naholo (Highlanders) - Most people didn't know much about Waisake Naholo at the start of the season, and hence his low price in many fantasy rugby games. His two tries last week took him past Jeff Wilson's record at the Highlanders to leave him on 11 tries for the season. Not bad for a Super Rugby player worth around $800,000. He has also been included in the All Blacks squad.
7) Lausii Taliaulii (Brumbies) - The replacement for Henry Speight is worth a shot if you want to make up placings but are short of cash. Taliaulii will have a tough job marking Julian Savea, but is a bargain in most competitions.
8) Rory Arnold (Brumbies) - This guy is a man mountain. He is a huge lock with great ball skills who is able to cause disruptions to the Hurricanes lineout.
9) Will Skelton (Waratahs) - Speaking of man mountain, Skelton will disrupt the Highlanders ball at lineouts which is an area they struggled in against the Chiefs in the second half.
10) Taqele Naivaravora (Waratahs) - What a find this guy has been on the wing for the Waratahs. It will be interesting to see which exciting back three comes out of the Super Rugby semi-final with the better display. He has scored eight tries so far this season and adds an edge to the Waratahs attack.
