The British and Irish Lions go into their Second Test against Australia on Saturday in Melbourne knowing that a victory would see them wrap up the series with a game in hand.
The latest rugby betting suggests that Warren Gatland's side were fortunate to come out on top in the opening Test 23-21 as the hosts missed several opportunities to add to their tally due to errors in their kicking. The most crucial being Kurtley Beale's last minute penalty which fell short of the posts to leave them two points adrift at the full-time score.
Despite the victory, the Lions coach was not completely satisfied with the performance from his side. As a result, he has dropped Mike Phillips for the Second Test.
Ben Youngs, who will line up for only the second time in a Lions shirt, has replaced the Welshman. The 23-year old will join his older brother Tom in which they are set to become the first siblings to play together for the Lions since 1989 when Gavin and Scott Hastings represented the side.
The visitors have been boosted this week with the news that Tommy Bowe has recovered in time from a broken hand which he picked up in a warm up game against Queensland Reds on June 8.
The Irishman underwent surgery following the incident earlier this month and has satisfied the medical team enough to be considered for selection in the Second Test. A hurling glove will be used by Bowe to give him added protection against the Wallabies.
Flanker, Dan Lydiate, is also among five changes made by Gatland, while lock, Geoff Parling, and prop, Mako Vunipola, come in for the injured Paul O’Connell and Alex Corbisiero.
