No less than seven current players in the Bath squad will be at new clubs as of next season, as the side look to drastically freshen up the side at The Rec.
This campaign will see Bath miss out on the Aviva Premiership playoffs once again but earning a place in the Heineken Cup for next term is a realistic possibility for the South West outfit.
Their 27-26 victory over Leicester Tigers at The Rec on Saturday thanks to a late try from Francois Louwe, just shows the potential that is in the side and betting Betfair punters think that is a sign of better things to come from the squad going into next season.
From a side that dominated English rugby for a time, to a side which has sometimes struggled in the middle of the Premiership table, it’s been hard viewing for Bath fans in recent campaigns without playoff rugby to look forward to.
However head coach Gary Gold has decided to end five player’s spells at The Rec, with Simon Taylor, Jack Cuthbert, Ben Skirving, Sam Vesty and Mark McMillan all leaving the club.
Duo Stephen Donald and Michael Claassens were already to set to leave for pastures new at the end of the current campaign and Gold has thanked all the players for their contributions to the team.
He said: "We would like to thank all these players for their commitment and hard work in their time at Bath Rugby, and wish them all the very best in the next stages of their careers."
With the likes of Leicester fly-half George Ford and London Irish back Jonathan Joseph moving to the club for next season, its not just the rugby odds that suggests the future is certainly bright for a club looking to get back to the top.
