Care Desperate for England Chance 42 views 0 Comments 0 Images

Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care is desperate to regain his place in the England starting line-up and he is hoping that his performances over the course of this season could be enough to force Stuart Lancaster into giving him another chance.

Care, who made his England debut against the All Blacks back in 2008, has been in exceptional form for Harlequins this season, scoring four tries and helping his side climb into the Aviva Premiership play-off places.

Despite strong support from websites offering rugby tips online, however, Care was restricted to just substitute one appearance for England in the Autumn Internationals and he knows that it will be tough to displace Ben Youngs and Lee Dickson. The only thing that Care can do is to continue to perform for Quins at club level and hope that his chance comes; and that is what he intends to do.

“I’m extremely happy with how this season has gone,” Care said. “I know that you can never look too far forward but I’m playing some good rugby, I believe, and enjoying it again. Now all I want is to be back in an England shirt.”

As well as the forthcoming Six Nations Championship, Care also has his eyes on appearing for England at the 2015 World Cup and he is desperate to make up for missing the 2011 tournament with a toe injury.

“I know the heartache of missing out on a World Cup, of being injured the week before,” the 27 year old said. “I have never played in one and I would love to. I have been around the camp for six years, and I feel I have a lot to give,” he added.

Care is a proven match-winner and, if he can put his off-the-field misdemeanours behind him, many people who watch live rugby online believe he could be the catalyst that England need to regain their Six Nations crown. Care will be hoping to be involved when England travel to France for their first game on 1st February.
