General Info
Edit
|
Johan Goosen is a fresh talent in South Africa. Although missing significant game time as a result of injury, he displayed enough promise during 2012 to suggest that he will be a name of the future.
In 2011 he was part of the South Africa under 20 team, and would have been again the following year were it not for injury.
Goosen then hit Super Rugby at speed in 2012, racking up 145 points in only 9 games, before suffering an injury that put him out for the remainder of the Super season.
His first cap for South Africa came on 8 Sept 2012, playing as a reserve in the game against Australia at Perth. Such was the instant impact that he continue to start in the following two matches.
