We have a strict policy of running with whatever the computer says. Perceived inaccuracies have always been proven to be user error, plus this approach means the game rules apply to all fantasy competitors in an equal and unbiased manner.
Below are some common requests and our answers. If you fall into one of these categories, be assured that you're not the first, and you won't be the last!
Q. A couple of players in my team didn't score when they should have. What's up with this?
A. Make sure you click on the
'Scoring Analysis'
page to review your scoring for a Round. That shows the rugby players you owned for a particular Round and what they scored for you. Don't be confused with your current team on the 'Manage Squad' page, as the players listed here were not necessarily owned for a Round of play.
Q. A friend got my password and changed my team. Can you give me some more Trades to make up for this?
A. No. Take better care in creating a password that won't be guessed, and in hiding this from your mates.
Q. I had a valid team before the Round Lock, but when I checked my score my team was invalid. Please put back the team I had picked.
A. No. The system of storing team information at the Round Lock is foolproof, so it was user error. Possible reasons are:
- You were mid-way through trading when the Round was locked. The game clock that appears at the top of the screen is the official timing for the game, not your own watch or clock, and there is always plenty of time before a Round Lock to get your team updated - leaving it to the last minute is not recommended.
- You thought you were buying a player, but didn't read the on-screen message properly. For instance, you may have actually sold an existing player, or not had enough cash available to buy the selected player.
- Your computer had a memory caching issue, and invalid information was displayed to you. We have heard of the occasional instance of this, and our recommendation if you ever experience this is to close all browser windows and start again. Also make sure you are only dealing with one team at a time.
- You just plain old made a mistake and thought your team was complete when it actually wasn't.
Q. I traded a couple of players before the Round Lock, but they don't show in my team. Please give me the points I should have earned.
A. No. Your points are based on the team you had selected at the time of the Round Lock and for all practical purpose it is not possible for the game system to get this wrong.
Q. I got caught up at work and missed the Round Lock. My mates say it is OK to have my team updated for the last Round, so could you do this for me please?
A. No. Sorry, this is a free game and we simply don't have the resources to go chasing this kind of request. If you are still feeling aggrieved, then please use the form below to send us your thoughts.
